Applying for Admission for 2009–2010
1. Application Options: For your convenience, Blake offers three options to complete your application for admission. Feel free to use the option that works best for you.
The application fee is $75 before December 1st, and $100 after December 1st.
The application must be received in the Admissions Office by January 31, 2009 to be considered in the first round of admissions decisions. In some cases, application fee reductions are available; please call the Financial Aid Office at 952-988-3424 for more information. Please note: those families who request, and are granted, a reduced fee will need to follow the application steps for downloading and completing the application.
Financial aid application packets will be sent to requesting families after DECEMBER 1, 2008. If you are requesting an aid application after January 1 and do not receive it within two weeks, please call the Financial Aid Office at 952-988-3424.
2. TESTING, VISITS AND INTERVIEWS - When your application and fee have been received, we will contact you to schedule student and parent appointments. These appointments take place November through February.
3. TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORM(S) - After mid-November, give the recommendation form(s) and return envelope to your child's teacher(s).
- For Lower School students, only one teacher recommendation is required.
- For Middle and Upper School students, the two recommendation forms should be given to your child's math and English teachers.
Forms should be received in the Admissions Office two weeks after the application has been submitted, and no later than March 2, 2009 for first round consideration.
4. RECORDS RELEASE FORM - for students currently in grades 1-11, complete the "Permission to Release School Records" form and give to your child's current school office. Please ask that the information be sent within 2 weeks. We require first semester or trimester grades and/or a copy of the most recent report card.
